Why am I being asked to update my apple ID password ?
So lets begin ....
On my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 I have experienced this issue and happens when I turn both devices off at night and on the next morning. I keep getting two prompts when I go into the settings menu (1). Apple ID Verification - enter the password for john.deere@.... in settings, with the options of "Not Now" or "Settings". - "Not Now" just takes you into the home screen - when I click on "settings" It prompts saying "the apple ID for John.deere@....needs to be updated".
I don't want to update my apple ID password ,,so I'm curious to see why this occuring. I enter my regular apple ID password and a few seconds go by and just puts me back into the regular settings menu. I feel there is no need to update my apple ID and wondering what the **** is going on ! (both devices doing this) except my Macbook. Did some some research and even called apple.
My specs:
Macbook Air (2015) El capitain
Iphone 6 (REG) iOS 9.1
Ipad Air 2 iOS 9.1
So far this what I've done with no results :
Called Apple- They says it is/may be a bug with the software.. suggestion was complete restore of devices - did that.
Signed in and out iCloud on both devices, restart and hard boot - no luck.
Signed into iTunes , manage devices , checked to see if anything was out wack - nothing appeared evident .
Checked macbook side of things with security or anything along those lines, so far nothing.
IF ANYONE HAS THE SAME ISSUE(S) PLEASE DROP A LINE OR SUGGESTION.
THANKS
