Applescript to disable "open dialog"?

I am running Yosemite 10.10.5 on a Mac Mini with no plans to upgrade to El Cap in the near future.

I don't understand Applescript, but I'd like to. In my unending quest to make my Mac more useful for me, I would like to do something about an admittedly little thing that annoys me: when I open Pages or a similar app, I want to open to a blank page, not the open dialog. I'm wondering if there is a pre-existing Applescript to disable open dialogs on app open or how I would go about creating it.

Thank you!

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
