VESA Mount for 20" iMac G5

Has anyone had any luck in finding a VESA mount for a 20" iMac G5? I've read some of the previous threads and was hoping someone either found one or, perhaps someone used the VESA bracket that Apple has for the 24" on the 20" and it worked...

Feedback is greatly appreciated!!

FYI - I've found that the Ergotron products http://www.ergotron.com have far superior products than most of their competition. I used to design computer rooms and would typically recommend the Ergotron product for multiple displays, racking systems, etc. I've got a request in to them to find out if they have a VESA mount bracket for the iMac and will communicate the results when I find out.

I was hoping to find something on this forum about locating the VESA adapter kit for the G5 iMac and your thread is all there is 😟. Every on-line retailer that shows them in stock actually have none (I called 5 different ones...Why can't they update websites?!?!)

Did you have any luck finding one. I am moving into a smaller studio and I desperately need to mount my 17-inch iMac. I can't find anyone anywhere! I even called the Apple store number listed on the website and the guy on the phone acted like he had no clue how to even search to see if Apple had any and his response was, "AppleCare would probably be able to help you out more than I could.." Sure enough I got transfered to a dead-end and after 20 minutes I hung up the phone!

What happen to all of the VESA mounts they had. I swear like 3 months ago they were selling them in the on-line store! What does Apple do with all of them? Trash them?

Anyways, please let me know if you were successful. So far I am getting no where 😟

No, I was getting the same results - frustrated about that. I still have mine on my desktop and really need to VESA mount it. I've been wanting to use an Ergotron wall mount or desktop mount to suspend my G5 and a 20" DVI Hitachi monitor I have connected to my PowerBook G4. I have way too much stuff on my desk that I had to pull up an old card table to keep my notes and other stuff.

Very disappointed that Apple doesn't have a better solution for this - also surprised they don't support VESA standard mount on these. Do they think everyone will only want to set these on their desktops? <<amazing>>
