How do I delete Parallels from my OS

I have moved away from Quicken and now will be able to get rid of Parallels Desktop on my MacBook Pro.

How best to remove Parallels and Windows 7 from my OS? My desire is to remove Parallels and Windows 7 and its applications totally.

The Parallels web site has two sets of instructions, one for removing the virtual machine and the another for removing Parallels Desktop.

I also have Clean My Mac 3. Not sure where to start to get a clean removal.

Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

I don't image that Parallels is taking up that much space and keeping it can have helpful consequences in the future.

I rarely, but still use my Windows XP environment.

Another example is that to test Quicken 2016, I needed to run it in Yosemite or El Capitan. Being happy with Lion on my Mac Mini since I purchased it in 2011, I decided to create a Yosemite environment in Parallels and run Quicken 2016 there:

Note: You can also download, extract and execute this utility: PDremove.zip.

PDremove.app will remove Parallels Desktop (any version from 7 through 11) with all its cache and system files, except for the licensing information. Your virtual machines won’t be affected if they are stored in the usual location:
