Options in the Photos for Mail application:

You could try the card themes in Photos. You can save any card as a PDF file and print them on your own. You do not have to use Apple's Print Products Store to get the card printed.

If you select photos and share them to Mail, you can use the Mail stationary to create formatted invitations: In the New Mail panel click the mail Stationary button:

To cut out a face and paste it into a different picture you need an editor that can do graphics compositing and handles transparency and layers. Use Photoshop or any other graphics editor.

The preview application that comes with every Mac has also basic graphics tools. Open the photo with the face of the kid in Preview, then go to the View menu and click "Show markup toolbar".

In the toolbar click the selection tools - the leftmost item in the toolbar. select the lasso or the smart lasso to select the face, then copy it to the pasteboard ⌘C. Now open the picture with the cloud background and paste the face onto the cloud.

The markup toolbar has also text tools.
