It is advised not to charge a lithium battery to 100% if storing in an idle state for an extended period of time. But for day to day use, where the battery is experienceing regular discharge and charge cycles, it is fine to charge it fully and use it, then plug back in to charge it as convenient to do so or needed.
Also note that regardless of how you leave it, a lithium battery left sitting static on a shelf is going to degrade rapidly if left that way for months or a year or more. Lithium cells start degrading, used or not, the moment they are assembled. From that point on, their useable life span is finite, no matter how carefully you treat them. You will achieve the maximum useable life span with regular use (regular partial discharge and charge cycles), avoiding deep cycle discharges as much as possible, and avoiding extremes in temperature (hot or cold).
