turn off activity tracker on Apple Watch

I have a question about the Apple watch. The phone is insisting I fill out all my physical data for the watch to monitor my activity. Then the phone will notify you how long you've worked out, etc. You can turn off the notifications, but you can't turn off the monitoring itself.

Is there a way to disable the activity tracker? Searching help only comes up with turning off notifications.

Thanks.

Hi

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Privacy > Motion & Fitness > disable Fitness Tracking (and also Heart Rate, if desired).
