iPad pro battery life, how long?

i am interested in how many hours everyone is currently getting on the iPad pro? My best is 15 hours. The brightness is set to just under half. I have background app refresh off and push and location settings off as I don't really use them. Notifications are on for iMessage, FaceTime, calendars and reminders.

Aso I read in another thread that you need to calibrate a new iPad's battery. Is this needed? And how do you calibrate a battery?😕 im running iOS 9.2 on iPad pro 128gb wifi/lte

I Am still getting 13 hours on my iPad Air. My iPad pro is for Christmas and I am not allowed to use it until Christmas 😟 my son bought it for me. I have been making do with 16gb on my air for two years now. It's been a nightmare so to have 128gb will be amazing. I didn't think you had to calibrate a battery. but thought I'd ask just in case.

It use to be recommended that you calibrate the battery usage meter once a month. I don't know if this was Apples's advice or not since I no longer see it recommended.

The process was to go to a standard Apple app like Notes or Calendar. Then hold the power button until the slider switch appears. Then release the power switch and hold the home button until your iPad restarts.

I Don't know why a perfectly normal word was stared out. I will rephrase it drains your battery. 😕

The Jive software nanny filter will not let you type s*u*c*k*s as it is considered a naughty word in genteel circles.

IT is not really necessary to calibrate the batteries. I have never calibrated the battery in my iPad Air 2 and I get 11 hours and sometimes more out of a full charge.

Let us know your battery situation when you begin to use your new Christmas gift. I have one of the problem ones - with most things turned off it still goes down while asleep, whereas my other iPads seem to stay at 100% forever. I'll wait another ten days or so and, if I don't hear of a fix from Apple, I'll be returning it. I hope yours is okay as it is a really nice device.

Thanks, but I've read your suggestion before, but as others have reported, it has no effect. I've also researched this on other website forums where people are reporting similar problems without solutions. So, I have scheduled an appointment with Apple to bring it in and they will probably just replace it. Just for info, I lost 1% during the last 30 minutes while the unit was asleep. Since some people don't have the problem, it may not be an iOS issue; perhaps there will be a recall a some point, but I don't want to wait for it.

Yes, I tried everything, such as ,reseting, turning off WiFi, BT, mail pushing, etc. I have had about seven iPads and none acted like this. I thought about just returning it, but I actually like the size and need it for online teaching, showing videos, etc. I am wondering if Apple gets its batteries (or some other relevant hardware part) from different sources and one source is good and another not. That's happened before. One person above mentioned that Apple is aware of the issue - of course, I have no idea if that is true. I will learn Sunday when I go to the Apple Store. It's a new product and these kinds of hiccups are to be expected; I just want to get mine sorted out before next semester begins, when I resume being a professor/student. I don't mind being a guinea pig as I know Apple will eventually make it right.

Thanks for trying to help me and the others and have a good Christmas. If I learn of anything further about this, I'll post it here.

I Have had my iPad for a few days now and I admit I love it so much. The huge screen is amazing and the sound is even better. I'm amazed at the battery life. I'm getting 15 hours. I actually got 16 hours yesterday 🙂

i Have my screen set to half, with auto brightness set to off, push is off, notifications are on for most of the apps I use, Bluetooth and Cellular off.

I Thought my iPad Air was great with battery life but the pro has exceeded my expectations. I nearly didn't buy one as I was worried the bigger screen would mean less battery life. Glad I was wrong.
