Improper Shutdown Problem

I have two computers giving the same problem. Suspect OS 10.11.x or Adobe. Have not checked Crash Log yet.

Both computers will only partially shut down automatically as determined by the shutdown requirement procedures meaning a black screen and an arrow or just a black screen.

On one I removed all startup items and shut off all app to allow it to shut down w/o open apps interference including any screen saver. The problem continues.

On the other I removed screen save requirements and reset the SMC and problem continues.

Problem did not come about until both computers were upgraded to OS 10.11.x. At about this same time the Adobe Download Manage seemed to showed up meaning it a dialog box on the front screen at startup. Was able to remove the icon on the Finder menu bar.

The problem does not make sense to so this description may not explain the problem accurately. All I can says both computers will not fully shut down either by timed shutdown requirements nor by selecting shutdown in the Finder dropdown menu.

Few things:

The Forum showed no review of my reply stating Problem Not Resolved. Lack of interest perhaps..

All third party security measures removed. Problem continued.

Found Time machine not functioning properly when drive is full. Four machines need space on two 3 Terabit Apple drives.

Can still operate from backup drive but not Time machine.

Can transfer data as required between drives but not Time Machine if main drive is functioning improperly.

Able to upgrade/reinstall/install OS on external drive when main drive is problematic.

I think is disrespectful to state a legitimate Apple supportive company is producing junk.

If Apple does not provide adequate virus protection, email screening, or backup support, then something else needs to be done.

If Firewall is turned off, what protection does a client have? Encryption is not for the average user.

What I have done is Booted up on a backup drive, installed OS 10.11.2, installed 10.11.2 on the main drive, cleared up small number of programs shut down due to changing operating system.

Test still ongoing. Will know when computer attempts to shut down at scheduled time.

Be cognizant of alienating Apple users and decent third party developers from Apple. I have been an Apple user since 1985.

I am confused by your question, and I am not certain if you even have one. Using incomplete sentences and adding extraneous information is contributing to that lack of understanding. For example, I don't know what you mean by "Can still operate from backup drive but not Time machine."

You appear to have been misled regarding the purpose of OS X's application firewall, encryption, operating system security and other fundamental concepts. I suggest you simply post a new Discussion and concentrate on the facts. That is the best way to solicit continued interest in whatever problems you may be experiencing. Good luck.

Your insensitivity has disillusioned me. I feel you understand the question and know the answer. The issue may not have ben stated the way you would have stated it but the problem still exists regardless of word used.

Apparently you have not read the full statement leading to the verbiage using Firewall.

I don't believe placing the issue on another forum will help. If I cannot get it done here, it won't get done. You are telling me to go elsewhere as you may need to go. You have not picked your words any better than I.

When an Apple user has a problem, It is more appreciated to have sincere responses/solutions/answers than have a "Stovepipe" approach.

I have been an Apple user since 1985 but now have become less enthused.
