if i mount Apple TV 4th generation beside TV on Wall will i still be able to use remote or is it only IR

mounting 4 generation Apple tv out off sight will the remote still work

The remote is Bluetooth and doesn't have to be line-of-sight; I would advise testing it in position behind the television before you drill any holes in the wall, though. I've not actually tested the ATV but I did test a Bluetooth keyboard from behind the TV to a computer some 12 feet in front of it and it was OK, and the Amazon Fire TV box is behind the TV and works OK; but it's always worth checking before you commit yourself to something like this.
