We need to connect an older iMac using a male 6-pin thunderbolt cable to lightning to migrate data from the the old iMac to a new one. I haven't found such a cable on internet search Has anyone found one or know of a converter/connector that could make the connection?😕
I think that you may have it confused with a FireWire port. Look in About this Mac -> More information for a description of this iMac and post it back here. It should say "iMac,...". Need to know what it says after "iMac".
What model/year/OSX version is the old iMac?
What model is the new iMac?
This will allow us to give you the most effective way to migrate
(and also what you may not want to do as well).
FWIW, the Lightning interface is only for iPhones, iPads, and iPods.
