When I try to login to my Paypal account on my Mac I get a message that some of the information is incorrect, try again. I can login to my Paypal account using my PC and the same information that was said to be in error.

From the Safari menu bar, please select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Test.
Please launch the Keychain Access application and search for the term "paypal". Delete any Paypal-related password items that you find, after making a note of the password. The next time you log in to the site, you'll be prompted for your credentials. Save them in the keychain.
I found nothing with Paypal in keychain access.
In Safari, open the preferences window and select the Passwords tab. Do you see Paypal listed there?
No "Paypal" in passwords in safari preferences.
When you load the Paypal login page, are your name and/or password entered automatically? If not, what exactly does happen?
Thoughout this thing I've tried it both ways. I will try with the autofill for user ID and sometimes erase the autofill id and type it in myself. Bottom line, it doesn't matter. The error message either way is "Some of the info isn't correct. Please try again."
The spelling checker may be falsely correcting the entry. Please select the incorrect entry and right-click or control-click. From the popup menu, select
Spelling and Grammar ▹ Show Spelling and Grammar
A small window will open. In the text box at the top, enter the incorrect text, then click Change.
I need some help on this one. I can get to "Spelling and Grammar >Show Spelling and Grammar" but I'm not sure what you want me to do with the incorrect entry. I've tried to copy the password for my Paypal ID but that wants me to "paste" something. When I go to Edit > Spelling and Grammar >Show Spelling and Grammar a small popup menu appears but nothing happens when I type the password in the blank.
Not the password. That's not spell-checked. The login name, or email address.
Ok. It happens exactly as you said. I highlight the id (which is the email address), right click, choose Spelling and Grammar > Show Spelling and Grammar. Then the small box appears with the id already filled in. It doesn't matter if I erase and type it in or just click "change", nothing happens.
Please disable automatic spelling correction. Any change?

You've stated that the Paypal password is autofilled in Safari, but there is no autofill entry for Paypal in Safari's settings. Are you using any third-party software that autofills passwords, such as "1Password?" If not, I don't know how to reconcile those statements.
I'm sorry for confusing you. What I did was type in the password and tried to "change" it. That did not work as you know but I didn't when I tried. It was not autofilling the password. It autofilled the id.
I am having a hard time making sense of this story. The only way the ID could be autofilled is if it's stored in a cookie. When you deleted website data, the cookie was deleted. At that point, there should have no autofilling of the ID. Is that what happened? What about after you deleted the Safari library files?
