Can't install iTunes on HP Stream 11

I just purchased a HP Stream 11 and I have been having a lot of trouble trying to install iTunes 12.3.2. When it is finished downloading I click on it to try to make the program run but a pop-up shows up that says, "This app cannot run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."

why wont this install

Why won't WHAT install? You have posted on a 2-year old thread about old versions of iTunes, and an older version of an HP computer with Windows 8.

iTunes should install and run fine on a Stream 11 as long as you have enough room to install it on the C: drive. For all but the most trivial of libraries you'll need to use an SD card to extend storage or have your library on an external/USB hard drive. I'm running on a Stream 13 (essentially the same machine with a larger screen) with my library on a 2TB USB 3.0 drive, and can even run iTunes on the Stream 7 tablet.

Based on recent reports the error you're seeing may be associated with an incomplete or corrupted installer download. I would try downloading again - for the current release of iTunes (12.3.2.35) the file and file size should be:

64-bit - iTunes6464Setup.exe - file size 167,608,088 bytes

Quick update - Apple have patched the 12.3.2.35 release to correct the widely-reported bug that caused the Store screen within iTunes to flash. Unfortunately both the old and new installers are identified as "12.3.2.35". It is possible that the fault in the initial 12.3.2.35 installer that for most people resulted in the display issue could, on some systems, generate a Windows error on installation, so I'd suggest that its definitely worth downloading again now. The "new" installer for 12.3.2.35 is a different size compared to the original release from December 9 - the new one (64-bit) is 167,583,000 bytes.
