Youtube Full Screen

Youtube Full Screen

I'm currently experiencing a problem whenever i enter full screen on youtube using the latest version of safari where the video is not actually displaying as full screen. It is cropped in a strange way which displays the video in the top left corner the player is extended all along the left half of the screen and the right side is just blackness. it reverts to normal after clicking or pausing but it's quite inconvenient when it happens everytime.. Does anyone else have the same problem and if so do you have a solution? See Image below for an example.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

I'm confused. You say you've placed this video in full screen, but I see the "Place this video in full screen" symbol at the lower right of your screen shot.

Have you tried clicking this?

That's the button to return it to minimised screen, the button to put it in full screen is a box shape where the corner's on your picture appear inverted

You are not alone. It appears to be a YouTube problem that I don't get on other video sites unless they've partnered with YT. It also affected FireFox but YT seemed to have gotten that part fixed--more users obviously

Until YT gets it right, you are left with the click-pause/click-resume thing,

I have the same problem in Safari. In firefox everything works fine, I don't think the problem is with the YouTube!
