ipod touch 6th gen won't show up in itunes

So I got a ipod touch 6th gen , brand new today. I have a bunch of songs on my computer I wanna put on it but the ipod won't show up in itunes.

I'm running Windows 10, the newest version of itunes and I have tried restarting the ipod and computer several times in order to set it up. I deleted the apple driver, put it into every usb port I have, reset all dialogue warnings, reset the settings on the ipod and erased all content and started over and still nothing.

I think the problem lies in the fact that I have not been prompted to trust the computer. I think I might have been but the text was gone too quickly so I'm not sure if I clicked yes or no. Does anybody have any idea what to do?

- I would start with

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP

or

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

- New cable and different USB port

- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Thank you so much! I used http://www.technipages.com/itunes-fix-iphone-or-ipod-not-detected-in-windows and that did the trick! I thought I was going to have to delete itunes and undo the 4, 500 songs I've been putting there manually over the last few week, you're a life saver!
