You can't. The only thing you can store on the ATV 4 are apps.
To access your personal media (music, movies, tv shows) via home share you would use the "computers" app rather than the music app. The music app would be used if your a music match subscriber and/or to use iTunes Radio...
What is meant to be in the "My Music" section and how do i do it i should have said, as i cant seem to make music sync to this section of apple tv even tho it is advising i can do so.
That would be your music if you are an iTunes music match subscriber As it streams from iTunes in the cloud. However, if the media resides in your personal library and you are accessing via home share then you would want to use the "computers" app to access the music that resides in your personal library on your personal computer...

Oh i see i was unaware of itunes match, £22 to play songs already purchased on cd to apple TV think ill give it a miss.. cheers for the help.
Just for clarification, iTunes Match would be for storing your full music library in the cloud (regardless of source, in some cases matched to higher quality iTunes version) and available on all devices. If you subscribe to Apple Music the function is built-in.
If you have enabled home sharing within iTunes then make sure you also enable on Apple TV. Note: computer would need to be on and running iTunes to access.
