Live Photo import to Mac Photos

Hi

I have an iPhone 6S and really love the new live photos feature.

What is the best method of transferring live photos from the iPhone 6S to my Mac?

I am using the latest Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.2 and Photos 1.3.

However, PhotoStream does not display / import the 'Live' Photos, only still images.

I want to make sure I can transfer the live photos to my Mac Photos library without any loss of the 'Live Photo' video.
