changing British spelling to American spelling as a default
Spell check always wants to "correct" my American spelling to British spelling. How do I change the default to US spelling?

I realise that I do have it set in Word for US English, but it is in Mail that I'm having the issue. Likewise in this post right here, I typed in the US "realize" and it automatically changes it to "realise." I can override it individually, by retyping it, but it's a hassle. So, how to change the Mail default.
