How to connect Harman Kardon Adapt using WPS

I have a Harman Kardon Adapt - whole-home wireless audio device that acts as a bridge to an existing home stereo - kinda like a Sonos Bridge. It connect so a wi-fi network using WPS. When I push the WPS button on the Adapt, then use Apple Airport Utility 6.3.6 to add a WPS Printer, it gives me an 'error connecting Adapt' and then shows me MAC address of the Adapt. I can't ever get it to connect. Any help?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Make sure that the name of the wireless network on your AirPort router is......

Short.....no more than 20 characters total

Simple.....use only normal letters and numbers....and no special characters like an apostrophe, asterisk, dollar sign, etc

Compact....no blank spaces in the name

So, a wireless network name like........

addict3's red apple wireless network

Is not going to have much chance of allowing the HK device to connect

Try something ike

addict3wireless

Make sure that you have assigned a separate name to the 5 GHz network......but use the 2.4 GHz network for HK device. If it connects to the 2.4 GHz network, then you can try the 5 GHz network to see if it can connect to that higher frequency signal.

If still no luck, try connecting the HK device manually......not using WPS
