MainStage Keyboard Change

I created a performance patch in MainStage, using MainStage sounds, that are played using my Axiom MIDI keyboard. I got rid of that keyboard and would like to use my new MIDI keyboard [Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol] with these old patches. When I connect my new keyboard via USB, I can see the inputs are working correctly [playing a note causes the MIDI in with MainStage to display the note that is being pushed, but no sound is heard]. Do I need to change the source of the keyboard from my old Axiom to the new keyboard and if so how do I do that? If I create a new patch from scratch everything works fine.

To change your keyboard source:

  1. Go to Layout mode.
  2. Click the keyboard screen control (the picture of the keyboard).
  3. In the Screen Control Inspector (left pane), under Hardware Input, select your keyboard by changing the MIDI Port setting.

That is probably all you need to do. If this doesn't work, I would check your MIDI channel settings to make sure that your new keyboard is sending data through the same channels as your old keyboard. For this, you may have to change settings in the same place I mentioned above in the "Channel" setting, or you may have to change the settings on your keyboard or in your instrument plugin settings.
