Boot into recovery mode without a keyboard?

Hi, recently a friend of mine gave me an old mac that he add laying around, unfortunally its having some booting issues were the grey bar stops at the midle of booting and it just stays there, then booting to a white screen were it gets stuck. My solution is to boot to recovery and reinstall the os, but the thing is, i dont have a keyboard , not a windows one or a mac one. My question, is there any way i can get it to recovery mode without the need of a keyboard? I used max remote on my android but since i need the mac to fiinish the boot to be able to connect to the server, im kinda stuck. Any ideas?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

I will only be able to buy one at the end of the month, that was my starting idea, and none of my friends seems to have one at the time. I saw a post somewhere on how to remotely use the mac but i didnt fully understand it. Probably a mac to mac kinda thing. Anyways thanks for the reply

You will need a keyboard to boot into Recovery Mode and to install the OS. I would suggest you purchase an inexpensive keyboard or borrow one from a friend.
