Watch not registering stand time as idle OR standing

Hi all,

My watch is not recognising the stand measurement at all - so it records 0 hours standing and 0 hours idle. I only have had it for a few days, the first 1.5 days it worked fine but not any measurements since.

I did at some stage update the software to 2.1, but Im unsure exactly if this coincided with it stopping working. I'm guessing it probably did.

Any ideas, or settings I should check?

Hi - try these steps:

On your iPhone in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Wrist Detection - check that this is turned on.

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Privacy > Motion & Fitness:

- If Fitness Tracking is turned off, turn it on;

- If Fitness Tracking was already turned on, turn it off.

Restart both devices by turning both off together first, then restarting your iPhone before restarting your watch:

- To turn your iPhone off: press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears; drag it to turn off. To restart, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button.

- To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off. To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the logo.

If you turned Fitness Tracking off in step 2, now return to the setting and re-enable it.
