Bought refurbished macbook pro and the "A" key is sticky / mushy

Hello everybody,

Just got my refurbished 2015 Macbook Pro today! Very excited and happy however I'm not too happy with the keyboard itself... The "A" key is the worst culprit of all however, it simply does not have the same feeling and feels different when typing fast. It's as if it's slow to respond and doesn't "pop up" as quickly as the other keys. I'm very ocd when it comes to anything new I buy so of course I'm obsessing over it. Any input or responses as to solutions or if I should just return it / bring it in would be appreciated 🙂.

Refurbished should be as good as new. You have one year warranty and can add AppleCare.

Let the Genius Bar fix the situation for you.

Since you purchased it from Apple, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return it for a refund. You can exchange it as well if there is the same MBP available.

I really don't want to return it over something like this. I took off the key it's self and gently blew on it, then I put the key back on. It had become as spunky as the rest but then went back later to it's slight "mush" feeling (Which is a very small but noticeable variance). It does not get stuck or feel squishy or slow to return but it's definitely an inconsistency. I feel I'm out of options but so be it.

Genius Bar can evaluate and give you the option of repair or replacement. Regardless of your chosen path you want to present it to Apple within 14 days just for the record.

You deserve a fully functioning system.
