Vertical lines on right side of screen iPhone 6 plus after 9.2 update

Ok Apple Community, I have the same problem! On my iPhone 6 plus 128GB, there are fourteen absolutely straight, light white double vertical lines going down the right side of the screen. It occurred right after the 9.2 software update. The phone has never been dropped and has a cover on it. It is functioning fine, but the lines appear on all screens and Apps. The camera is functioning normally. When I take a picture there are no lines on the picture. I've turned the phone off and on again. I held the lock and home screen button for soft reset and no change in the appearance of the lines. I'm not sure if this is a hardware problem and the screen needs to be replaced or a software problem and I need to do a factory reset. Any ideas? Thanks.

14 Vertical Double Line issue Fixed!!!

I have experience this issue it seems to have no solution. First of all I want to inform you that indeed it is a Hardware Issue not only for former models but all iphones are not exempted in these issue but Iphones that are Plus are more prone.

These lines are caused by bending of phone maybe you slept over it or what. In my case, I am always putting it in my pants' pocket that caused it to overheat and bend at the same time.

these offers a permanent solution for those who done this perfectly. All you have to do is:

1. Know what direction you bended your phone that caused your problem. to know which way you'll have to bend it over. I suggest you to remember your activities before the issue.

2. I am telling you in advance. Be knowledgeable that your iphone will be unresponsive after bending, yep even a bit of bending. but dont worry it's normal. to fix this just simply lock and open your phone using the lock button.

3. Do it repeatedly for best results. bend proportionally dont be like me. lol. I bend it. before, it affects half of my screen. after bending it only affects 1/16th iguess. I am still thinking of a way to remove it.

4. Others say that it is just temporary. But come to think of it. Maybe yes, because your phone will over heat again and the parts will be bent again againts your will but why not avoid overheating and bending your phone? keep it precious.

That's all! Thanks! This methos is still better than the Things i have read in the internet that all says that you have to have a screen replacement etc. Again, there is nothing wrong about your LCD. You just bended it. 😜 Hope this helps!

I made an appointment and went to my local Apple store yesterday. The guy who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable. He ran some tests on the phone and said at least initially, it didn't appear to be hardware. He suggested first, making sure I had a complete, current backup. Then resetting the settings to see if that helped, and if not, reset the whole phone. If that still didn't fix it, he said they could replace the screen for $109.

I'm about to reset the whole phone. I have a fresh backup, so what the heck. It will just take a little time.

If I have to go the screen replacement route - I'd rather have Apple do it than a 3rd party. I could also do it myself. I've done screen replacements on other models. In the end though, I plan on keeping this phone for a while, so I'd rather have an original part replacement with the button already installed than to have to transfer the parts over.
