Why are you using OpenDNS?
This seems a good page to check https://support.opendns.com/entries/39861294-OpenDNS-is-Only-Working-on-One-or-S ome-of-my-Computers-Devices
Scrolling down a bit on that page I came to this: For Mac OSX, be sure to remove the existing DNS entries (under Network -> Advanced -> DNS) and use the "-" button to remove the existing DNS servers. If you're experiencing difficulties, you may also configure directly for OpenDNS by entering in 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 using the "+" button.
I frankly had forgotten I was using OpenDNS. Glad for the reminder to check and see how it is working!
Using OpenDNS to allow for secure "Rated G" control for children's use of web surfing, have safe lock search for Google and Parental Controls in place including Safari and Settings but prefer the additional control of OpenDNS; have been using for years but ATT just changed modem/router to Pace 5268AC after a year with an older 3801 HVG model and OpenDNS functioning.
Worked with OpenDNS support confirming MacPro OpenDNS settings and clearing of cashe but MacPro and Mini still not secure. PowerBook G4 10.5.8 working as expected.
Pace 5268AC is set to recognize "router behind router" condition using AirPort Express 2nd Generation 802.11n with DNS nameserver settings 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
Have not found a way to implement DNS nameserver settings for the Pace router.
Mini still not secure
Do you mean that the OpenDNS filtering doesn't happen?
Pace 5268AC
I don't know what that is.
Mini and MacPro are not secure.
Pace is the new router/modem from ATT.
Do the OpenDNS addresses appear in the network settings on the clients?
Yes
If those servers are selected in the network settings, and you're not connected to a VPN, then you're using the servers. The problem, if that's what it is, is not caused by anything on the computers. There's no way I would ever use OpenDNS myself, so I can't tell you anything about its inner workings.
