Unable to do a Factory Reset on iPhone 6

I have an iPhone 6 that has been acting up (just doing strange things). I have tried the hard reset, then I went to do a factory backup and it asks for my iCloud password which I enter, it then tells me it is wrong. I login to my iCloud on my computer using the same password and it works fine. I then try to do it from iTunes and I am asked to turn off find my phone before I can proceed. I go into settings and try to turn off find my iPhone and I just get a standby. It has been doing that for about 5 minutes now. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
