Bluetooth connection problems GMC Acadia

Have iphone 6 and 6s with iOS 9.2. Have a new 2016 GMC Acadia with intellilink GPS system. The problem. The phone will connect to the bluetooth no problem. After making a call, and ending the call the system does not revert back to the radio, and has to be manually changed back to the radio/xm. Also when opening up certain apps, ie facebook, photos, maps, waze it basically takes over the stereo and changes the audio source to the bluetooth connected device even though there is no audio playing at that time. This is very annoying. Have tried several time to re-pair device, continues to have same problem with no change. Have also tried 1. turning off notifications in bluetooth menu 2. turning off siri (another user suggested but no change in function) 3. Putting phone in , silent mode. Supposedly this is a problem with iOS 9 as previous versions have worked as reported in this community. Any suggestions other than waiting for apple to release an update to fix this eventually.

Having the same issue in my 2015 acadia. Intellilink says Apple needs to update their software. Seems like a common problem that they are not addressing with the speed we'd all appreciate. It still does not seem to be working after the last update. Really frustrating.

My 2017 has issues. iPhone will connect with Bluetooth, but when I try to select iPhone to play music from phone, car displays "no media" and no songs available. The GMC Itellilink shows as source for playback on phone, but car doesn't see media at all. CarPlay functionality disappears as well. It makes whole system useless. Thanks Apple.

Having the same issues in my 2017. What happens is after using the phone to make a phone call or maps or anything else the phone will restart the entire album that your listing to with song number one. Also I'm having the same issue we are often times display "No Media" or will just display the name of the artist and album name, but not the song title.

I also have strange problems connecting my iPhone to the GMC Acadia 2015. While listening to audio through Bluetooth suddenly the audio will change to phone quality for a few seconds and then back to stereo.

I have also had problems where I can't connect iPhone to the car. It won't even let me add a new device.

If you leave your iPhone plugged into the Intellilink with you charging cable (use CarPlay), and then turn the car off and leave, this causes the entire Intellilink system to freeze up until it resets itself. Renders entire screen black and all buttons useless. I am not sure if it is CarPlay or Intellilink. GM know of the issue but have to redesign the software to fix. Just had my Acadia in for freezing Intellilink, and the Yukon they gave me for loaner did the same thing after I left my phone charging in car when I went into a store. Not sure if Android causes same issues, but I doubt it.

Have 2016 Yukon Denali. Exact same issues. I decided to: go to

1) Settings

2) Scroll to Apple Car Play

3) Toggle Apple CarPlay from "on" to "off"
