I am thinking of purchasing a macbook pro retina from an online retailer that I have never heard of called Zubber tech world. I have not heard of this company but the item is listed as new and the price is the lowest I've found. Has anyone had any experience with this online retailer? I think they are based out of NJ. Since this is a big investment, I want to be careful.

Even BestBuy, with its "special sales" does not undercut Apple's "new" prices enough to make it cheaper than an official Apple refurbished.

"If it looks too good to be true, it probably is". I would buy an Apple refurbished if I wanted to save money, or first-run model if I did not trust Apple's refurbish process. But for the record I am typing on a 4-year-old 2011 refurbished MBP ... no issues to note and Apple never questioned its origins as they *just might* from a vendor undercutting Apple prices too much.

their website was created 23Dec2015 - 2 days before Christmas of 2015 > https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=zubbertechwrd.com

there is no Apple "branding" on their site other than the devices = not one Apple Logo

It would surprise me greatly if Apple would allow online sales that directly compete with its own online efforts - UNLESS the online sales were from an AAR that did brick & mortar like BestBuy or Guitar Center

What do you mean by apple "branding" on their site? Do they have to have this to be considered an "authorized" seller? Thanks for finding the information! I can't believe they just created their website. That explains why there are no reviews! I am thinking that I should probably not take my chances with them until they have been established. Something doesn't seem quite right.

For the record, and not to complain about Apple, but ...

I too wish Apple had special sales now and again. But Apple Genius Bars treat me well and provide free estimates. They also just reopened a program to replace logic boards for free ($500-ish) for 2011-series systems like mine where a GPU provided to them was faulty from birth.

I pay the price because Apple backs that price with service.

Howdy suzy

We do not know loyce4christ or nxx1.brown - BOTH of which joined ASC on 06Jan2016

Zubber is NOT on the Apple lists

http://salesresources.apple.com/sp/catalog/

OR

http://salesresources.apple.com/sp/resellers/

at the top of these, it says:

Please be aware that if you purchase a product from a Reseller that is not on this list, you are not buying from an Apple authorized Catalog-Internet/Corporate Reseller.

Thanks for the heads up! I thought it was a little suspicious that suddenly 2 satisfied customers urged me to trust the seller and buy from them when I couldn't find one review on their whole website! I also just noticed that loyce4christ comment is gone and it says unauthorized when I try to view his activity. It also says he has had no recent activity. I think I have enough confirmation to shop elsewhere!
