Hyperlinks in pdf documents not working on iphone.

I have a pdf which i have created in indesign (CS3) i have checked the links in the original indesign document and they are ok and they are all recognised hyperlinks. I export to a pdf from the indesign file pdf (making sure hyperlink option is checked) when I view the pdf on my desktop all the links work fine. When I email the pdf and view it on my iPhone 6 the links do not work... they are


I am using iso 9.2


I have tried the following suggestions:


changing my restrictions in settings on my phone

clearing cache and browsing history

saving in different pdf version (interactive, high quality print)

viewing on chrome on my iPhone

viewing in PDF reader.


Someone please help!

No the link does not work for the client who i am producing the pdf for and his clients...


I have noticed that the link is recognised as a link however the link comes up as this... file:///var/mobile/library/mail/exchangeactivesync............. etc.... etc.. ( i can't copy the link from my phone!)


Please note I am not a coder- it then gives me the option to open or cancel on the phone, when i hit open nothing happens!

Yeah... I'm not a coder either. I hear they are nice people though.


It would sound like there is a distinct way for the links to be formed for use in iOS. The link you tried to paste looks like a static link to a file location that would not resolve properly in iOS.
