iphone 6 gps and wifi problems 9.2

My iphone 6 won't connect to wifi unless it's within 5 feet of the router and the GPS can't find my accurate location. This has been happening since Apple updated the software around the release of the 6s.

none of the subsequent releases fixed the issue, nor did any of the troubleshooting discussed in online forums, suggested by apple techs, or performed by apple techs at the store.

My phone is a couple months past it's warranty (how convenient for apple) and they would not replace it without me paying 280 bucks to do so.

I am a couple months from my full upgrade with Verizon, but the lack of GPS and wifi not connecting has caused a great deal of frustration and Data usage, which has been costing money because it won't connect to wifi when every other device in my apartment does.

This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had with apple. I am on the Verizon edge plan, which allows me to upgrade when I want if I don't care about keeping my phone or getting money to trade it in. I am two months from owning the phone outright, but I am probably going to switch to a Samsung as best buy has a $150 gift card promotion to switch to Samsung and trade in my iPhone. I have been an Apple advocate for a long time, but the lack of resolution to this clearly widespread problem is not a good look for a company that has built themselves on convenience and simplicity.

After two months of headaches, I just don't feel like it's worth it to wait until March and I shouldn't have to because of this.

Hello,

Was anyone able to solve this issue?

With me too exactly the same thing happens. GPS Navigation won't work. Wifi doesn't connect at 5 meters.

However one thing I noted is that when I changed my wifi router settings by changing the frequency from 2.4 GHz to 5.0 GHz, the

reception became 100% at farther distances too.

I went to the apple Genius Bar for a check up. They did the diagnostics and it said that a 'configd' service of the iOS has frequent crashes. He suggested I should

factory reset and do not restore from my backup initially. So I set my phone as new, but still no luck.

I too was extremely mad that apple was not addressing this issue and pretending that nothing is wrong.

But after fixing the problem myself on my iphone 6 I realized that the reason why they pretend nothing is wrlong is cause truly nothing is wrong on their end. the iOS diagnostics application , "behavior scan", they use at the Genius Bar doesn't detect any problems with the phone cause there's nothing wrong with the iOS software. It's more with the hardware. F-shaped antenna flex cable behind the logic board needs to be replaced. trust me. It's been 3 weeks since I replaced mine and my GPS has been Working like it should, turn by turn navigation is smooth and flawless, and my wifi and bluetooth connectivity has greatly improved.

My wife and I have the same phone, iPhone 6. After the update, my phone experienced the same issues you are talking about and hers has been fine. It's been frustrating. I keep hoping that an update will solve the problem, but it never does. I've tried everything mentioned in the forum and nothing works. I am here merely to reinforce to Apple that this is a real issue that needs to be addressed!
