My 5S iPhone with iOS 9.2.1 is randomly deleting my contacts. This has been going on for several months so it is not just with the latest iOS update. It deletes recently used contacts and also deletes them from my iPads. Any suggestions?

What are you syncing your contacts with? A supported application on the computer, a cloud service?
Just to my icloud account.
Does anyone else have access to your iCloud account? If you log into iCloud do you see the contacts you say are disappearing there, or are they gone from iCloud as well? They would have to be deleted from one location or the other. There is nothing on the phone that would delete random contacts.
