iOS 9.2.1 breaks Ford Sync 3

I have a new Ford with the Sync 3 system paired to my iPhone 6s. Bluetooth Phone Calls and Bluetooth Audio worked great until I updated to 9.2.1 yesterday. (Upgraded due to issue with companies MDM) Now when I try to make a phone call, the phone audio is choppy. If I switch the phone back to "phone" and not bluetooth, the audio is fine. Bluetooth music seems unaffected.

Delete the pairing from both the head unit and the phone and re-boot both, then re-pair them.

It's entirely possible that you may need an update to the head unit.

I Have a Chevy Malibu with MyLink and it worked fine till I updated to 9.2.1 musi plays ok but voice calls come through all choppy. I then tested the Bluetooth connection on my 3 different wireless headsets 2 are LGs and one a plantronic I think and all 3 headsets are doing the same think the persons voice on the other end is cutting in and out so this is definitely an apple issue. Does anyone have any info on a fix? Or even the ability to go back to 9.2?

Its is like you aren't even reading anything but what you want to - you chose one VW family vehicle. If it was one manufacturer of vehicle and you may have a point but this is multi-brands/makes/models that share one common denominator: they all worked with 9.2 and no longer work with 9.2.1.

It is the update, rolling back to 9.2 fixes it, other phones on 9.2 or other makes of phones work with no problem - the single common denominator for all of us is an iPhone running 9.2.1, that's it.

We are trying to find a solution and you seem to just want to be petty and not contribute anything.

The systems with problems share one common denominator that you are aware of. Take another, deeper look and you will undoubtedly find that's not the case. In car entertainment systems are much more complex than you're giving them credit for. Could be the bluetooth chipset in the head unit, could be common code in the software that runs it, could be any number of things. Correlation does not equal causation. If it affected all systems and bluetooth devices equally, then I'd say you have a clear case that Apple is at fault. The fact that it doesn't is indicative of a problem with the head units. This is not the first time it's happened, nor is it unique to iPhones. The fix has almost always involved updates to the head units, not the phones.

It's entirely possible that Macs could be affected by viruses. Of course, the fact that there are no viruses in the wild that can affect OS X at this time plays into things.

Yes, there is malware, adware, and trojans out there that can affect a Mac. However, all of those require user intervention to install and none of them would be caught by any of the anti-virus software currently available for OS X. Those are not viruses.

Yes they share one common denominator, the Apple 9.2.1 update. So tell us in your infinite wisdom how you can explain the fact that the update has also broken Bluetooth headsets when they are used for a phone call but work fine for streaming music? Then also tell us how when we use the Bluetooth for say audio streaming it works just fine but as soon as you make a phone call the sound gets all choppy?

You just validated my statement in that the Apple update broke the Bluetooth streaming of phone calls. I'm well aware that Bluetooth audio uses a different protocol. The problem still lies with the fact that you are not willing to concede that you are wrong and rather than be a helpful contributor to this forum you would prefer to spread misinformation and blame everyone else but Apple.
