How to skip back to the previous song, without using the touch screen in iPod Nano (7th Gen)

I want to understand, how I can go back and forth between the songs in iPod nano 7th Generation. I thought all iPods have this easy navigation system through buttons, but I don't think it is available in iPod Nano. After I search on the internet, I found that I can skip forward by double pressing the middle portion of the volume button strip. But, is there any way to skip back to the previous song?

Thank you so much. I wonder why this is not documented in the documentation. Though this definitely answers my question, I am not a very happy customer to know that, to do something so simple, you have to depend on more than one click, while the older versions of iPod were so simple to navigate using the round button. As a user, I do not like this design.

It's on page 4 of the user guide 🙂

I like it. It's easy to use by feel (no look). The click wheel is also fine, but sometimes I "miss" the exact spot and click the center button by mistake, when I try to do it without looking (like when running). The side buttons are meant to be secondary, like the buttons on the headphones cord. The primary control is the touch screen plus home button, and only one tap is needed there.
