Hello - I have a fairly simple spreadsheet for tracking household bills - screenshot of the type of thing I'm doing attached.
What I would love to do is create a pie chart or graph of the 'Type' column (which is a pop up menu) which utilises the figures from the 'Cost' column... So I can quickly see that x% of costs have been Food and x% of costs have been Travel etc! Any help would be appreciated!

first re-organise the data into a spreadsheet (I used the Numbers application) to show the "type" as a column heading with the costs listed below
use the sum formula to calculate the totals for each column:
open keynote, then select: Insert > Chart > 2D Pie
select the chart on the slide then click the Enter Chart Data button on the pie chart:
use copy an paste to enter the totals from the spreadsheet into the Edit Chart Data in Keynote, then click the plot columns as series button:
this generates the following pie chart:
