Can't transfer iTunes Downloaded Trailers to iPOD.

I downloaded the Simpsons movie and Stranger Than Fiction trailers from iTunes, so they're in the iTunes folder (and also MV4 files), but when I try to drag them to iTunes itself...nothing happens, it doesn't add them.

Then when I try to drag them to my iPOD (which is where I want to see them anyway on the go), it says its updating the file...but I don't see anything in the movie, tv show, or music video tabs.

Can anyone help me out here?
