Safari completely broken after 10.11.3 update

#1

I just updated to OS X 10.11.3 from software updates, and my Safari is almost completely broken. When I create a new tab it doesn't show up. When I enter something on the URL bar, there is no auto-complete, and the URL shows up both centered and left aligned in the URL bar. Many pages, including Google will not load from the URL bar. I've tried quitting Safari and restarting, but it is the same thing. Any help? This is a huge problem.

Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Safari 7.0.4

pinkstones,

Thank you for sharing your answer. For the last several weeks Safari has been virtually useless. Your fix worked for me about an hour ago. Safari is working again, so far, without any problems. And thank you for letting us know that Apple is working on it. I was losing my confidence in the company.

You're welcome. 🙂
