When I upload a new episode with cover art (ID tagged), it doesn't play.

So here's the issue,

I have many episodes on my podcast. I would like to have different cover art per episode, I downloaded an mp3 ID tag program where I can upload and attach a jpeg to the mp3 file. After all of that, uploaded it, and the file doesn't play. I then, deleted the photo, using the ID tag program, and re uploaded, works fine. I stayed with in the pixel amount so I can't figure out why...please help. Thank you

You don't need a separate program, you can do it in iTunes. The program you've been using may possibly introduce some sort of incompatibility, though I've never come across this complaint before so I've no idea what. iTunes should do it OK. This page includes a full explanation of how to do it in iTunes:

You don't say what size your image was: the specified mininmum 1400 x 1400 and maximum 3000 x 3000 doesn't really apply here (that's for the 'podcast image' and there isn't really any point in going above the 600 x 600 suggested in my page - however if you go larger I wouldn't go above 1400 x 1400. I don't know whether this will make any difference, this is just a guess.

If you go through this process and it still doesn't work then in order for me to even attempt to diagnose the problem I am obviously going to need the URL of your iTunes Store page, and there needs to be an episode with this problem there.

Wow, not easy to reply =) but thanks for yours. Ok, I used itunes to change the artwork associated with the file and it still wont play. here is the feed to the podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/my-educational-perspective/id1020903744

Also, I want to change the supplied artwork for the entire channel but don't want the podcast to get denied because I have changed the layout from a discussion about education to a dj mix podcast.... kind of a sticky situation.

I did see that the podcast app for the iphone wont allow different artwork to show per episode which kind of answers that question... But my new question is why its not even showing on itunes in the podcast. as in the "testing" episode... On the site where its hosted (podbean), it shows up fine, but not on itunes... suggestions? help please

I subscribed to your podcast in iTunes and played the 'Testing' episode; the artwork for the episode appeared correctly. It won't appear if you play the episode from the Store page itself (though it doesn't appear there yet).

You can change the image which appears in the Store simply by changing it in the feed - give the image a different filename or the Store won't know it's changed.

Your podcast appears to consist of 'mixes' - if these are from commercially issued CDs it's a breach of both copyright and the Terms and Conditions so don't be surprised if your podcast is removed (whether on not you change the image).

When I upload a new episode with cover art (ID tagged), it doesn't play.
