Chart won't Populate Data

Good day all,

I have built a trading journal in Numbers for my iPad pro, began with a template.

I'm trying to take all the symbols I've traded for the current month (it's one sheet per month), and put them in a chart to showcase visually what stocks make up what percentage of my month to date.

All of my names are listed in a column, one row per trade, and when I highlight the column to populate a pie chart, I expected it to showcase:

40% TSLA

18% NFLX

15% AAPL

etc...

However, it simply does nothing. Is Numbers for iOS capable of doing this?

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Regards,

Mark

SGIII and Barry,

I wanted to follow up quickly and say thank you again for your help! I figured it out over the weekend, it showcases what I was after.

Out of curiosity, is there any way to auto-populate the chart data tables with new Names? Something along the lines of, 'If 'X' is not found in Column A, then list. From there it should then auto-populate the chart.

As it sits now, I have to populate the Chart Data Table with the Ticker Symbol, then apply the formula. Or at least how I figured out how to do it anyway. I was looking and playing around with functions that I hoped might automate things, but I kept getting errors.

Thanks!

Mark
