URLs not working in Safari or Mail after iOS 9.2.1

After updating my iPad Air 2 iOS 9.2.1, I experienced Safari crashing when trying to open a new tab. I solved this problem by disabling Search Engine Suggestions and Safari Suggestions in Settings, as recommended. However now, if I've done a search, I cannot open any of the links in that search. If I type a specific URL in the Search Box, then I can open the page, but am unable to sign in, use any links from that page, etc. Also, I find that I am unable to open any URL links that I receive in Mail and tapping on a link then locks up Mail... I have done a full sync to my iMac, which can sometimes rectify a problem, but it hasn't helped in this instance.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry to hear that your problem did not get fixed quicker. Nothing is perfect... Androids are not either... I dont work for Apple, they surely can improve on crisis management. I find that they suck at damage control, but i'm not convinced you would have a better experience with Android. In the end, it's a different philosophy, a different product concept. you cannot walk away from an integrated system and embrace fully open just because their support service was below standard. I mean yes you can but it does not seem to be a right reason to do so. Anyway, best of luck with Apple or Android whichever you give your trust to

Hi, since March 22 a lot of people are suffering with the same problem, iPad blocks, links doesn't work and e-mails couldn't be open. Everybody at home use an iPad. Today I tried to have contact with the support team by phone. They call me on my number but there isn't any reaction when I push the soft button '1'. Then the voice tells me to call me back after 10 minutes because I didn't reply on the call ?!? We only have our iPad, lucky I still have my old HP desk top because otherwhise we don't any longer participate on the WWW. My dear friends at Apple....what is happening ? Do I need to go to the shop today to by a Windows tablet now to be back on the WWW ?

Perhaps you meant to say that you've had this problem since 9.2.1, especially since you mentioned that you've had this problem since last week. The fix Apple has provided for this is 9.3.1, which just became available this week on Thursday, March 31st. Installing it will eliminate your issue with links. You will need to download and install it for the problem to be corrected.

Cheers!

Susan712, you cannot have 9.3.1 because if you did it would show no update available. Do not click on the link on the Software Update screen which offers more info as this will crash the process. They should have had enough foresight to not have included it but they did as it is standard on an update screen. Just install the update and it should complete fairly quickly. Make sure after the update to check all apps for updates before opening anything other than the standard Apple apps.
