Preview adding contrast to my pictures

Hi!


anyone has a solution to preview adding contrast to my jpeg pictures when viewing them? the added contrast happens after a second or so, or if i zoom in and out. im a photographer and i REALLY dont like this. i didnt have this problem in mountain lion. my current osx is el capitan.

might be relevant: i have a custom icc profile loaded. i created it with basiccolor hardware calibration.

What profile are your images using. Preview app uses sRGB.

If you pull an image from a website and display it in Preview does the colour shift.

Do you have the same problem with Quick View.


If your images have a non-standard profile or none, then Preview will not know how to 'use' it,

and just guess.


The Basiccolor display app is for profiling your screen and the profile it creates is not to be embedded in your

image files. Just in case you were doing that.

When i export from lightroom i use sRGB.

the same occurs if i pull an image from web, and even if i make a printscreen.

same problem with Quick View and Preview.


yes i did not embed the profile into my pictures, i am exporting sRGB. the profile is set in Display preferences.


just to repeat again, i only have this problem when i have a custom profile loaded in Display preferences.
