WA Daylight savings

Hi All,

Could anyone offer advice on updating Mac OSX 10.4.x to cope with the daylight savings changes due to come into effect in Western Australia on the 3rd Dec.

There does not appear to be any updates available. Anyone know if there are any updates pending? If not any possible workarounds?

Hi Robin,

You need to reboot after editing the zoneinfo file.. it apparently only gets processed at startup time

Actually, the behaviour I described is after a reboot. Interestingly, my Power Mac (which I haven't rebooted, although I have updated the zoneinfo file) displays different quirkiness with the clock: either digital or analog displays in the menu bar are incorrect, but the separate window versions of the clock are correct.

Incidentally, in my previous post I said that Entourage thinks I'm in Osaka, which is incorrect - it thinks I'm in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore
