I stupidly dropped my iphone 5c in some water today, after picking it up and drying it the screen was faded and had faint lines across it, although the touchscreen still worked and I could use the phone. I then turned it off and after turning it back on their is no image displayed on the screen just bars of 'light'? if I try and turn the phone off the screen just darkens.
Any help please?!

Why are you trying to turn it on when there's water damage? Last I checked water and electronics don't mix. By turning it on, you've most likely done more damage then just getting it wet.
Time for a new phone.
Water damage is probably the worst thing that may happen to the phone. Take it to the Apple Store ASAP.
The phone was on when I dropped it. I dried it, and it was suggested to turn the phone off. Which I did. I then after leaving it for a while turned it back on.
water damage takes days to dry out, not just "a while."
