Not entirely, walking is still something of a challenge, but my brain is back.
I just upgraded to El Capitan (clean install)...I don't have a problem with Chrome slowing my MBP, but it lags my home network to the point that if my boys want to game, I need to turn it off. I live in a rural area where my internet options are DSL or satellite...and my DSL is 3MG down, less up, so the lag is noticeable. My only option is to turn off the laptop. I have tweeked Chrome but no slowing the hogging of wifi so far. I will ultimately give up Chrome - and after reading some of the replies here by experts, that may not be a bad thing. Thanks.
