What Folder Is The iCloud Folder In?

I'm trying to change my iTunes Media folder location to my iCloud folder, so I can do the same on my desktop and laptop to keep playlists synced up. But when it opens the Finder window, it doesn't list anything in the sidebar, so I will have to manually navigate to the iCloud folder, but I can't find it anywhere.

Ever since updating ti El Captain the Finder sidebar has been all jacked up like this, anytime I try to save something or upload a file and the window opens, the sidebar with all my stuff is just blank.

But you can, just obtain a copy of Synkron, designate which folders are to be synchronized and how often. Active the task.

What worked for me, was to launch iTunes with the options key held own and then create a new iTunes Library on iCloud drive. This created the iTunes Music folder on iCloud Drive and I could import my songs there using "Add to Library". But the setup is not very robust. Whenever I added songs to the library from a different mac, it created dead tracks on the first mac. I never had this trouble with iTunes Match.

I think you just have to make sure all of your mp3's are named the same and in the same locations on both computers. I'm able to sync playlists by manually copying the xml and itl files back and forth, but when I first started trying this it would load some dead songs. I figured out this was happening because I had used iTunes to copy the actual songs from one computer to the other and for whatever reason Apple likes to randomly re-name you files. So I just had to go back and fix the names and everything works fine.

It's just still not automatic.

As I said, it is not robust. And iTunes Match is less expensive than the same amount of storage on iCloud drive, and iTunes Match saved me a lot of work by replacing my old vinyl recordings by better digitized versions from the iTunes Store for free, The versions that I had digitized would have needed a lot of post processing.

The xml file isn't very large at all, like less than 10mb.

That's cool though with the swapping out of your home made recordings for the professional recordings.
