Hi,
I have a Late 2012 13" macbook pro retina.
One of the battery cells has become unglued. What kind of glue should I use to reattach it? Or should I try to resoften the old glue and just use that? Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks to both of you. I didn't think Genius bar would do this sort of thing but I'll check it out with them. Hopefully it's free, my apple care expired a few months ago. But otherwise I'm comfortable doing it myself if I can find the adhesive. It might be just a matter of warming the existing glue using a bean-bag thing like ifixit uses and then sticking the cell to that.

Any future service may be denied by the Genius Bar if you open the case. If you opened the case already but touched nothing, you may just get a warning. But the more you try to fix yourself, the more you risk future service.
Just be warned.

The genuis bar will give you a free diagnostic in or out of warranty. Make your decision after their reported findings.
Maybe if you are lucky they will hand it back with the battery glued back down at no charge.
I would leave this to Apple. Any botched repair attempt, and especially opening the bottom of the case, calls future service into question. Head this off now and let Genius Bar take over.
You might look at the iFixit web site for that information.
With that said, I agree with steve359, the Apple genius bar is you best option.
