I have an iPad air 2 with find my iPad is on but when I check iCloud status with the serial number it said find my iPad is off. question is can iPad be restore ?
I forgot to mention the iPad is also on demo mode

I'm not sure about the ramifications of demo mode, but I do know that Find My has one fatal weakness...devices must be on the internet to be seen.
In my case, my iPad is passcode locked. If it's ever stolen, unless the thief takes it near or to a wifi connection that it's been connected to before so it gets online (the passcode lock would prevent the thief from accessing the IPad to join it to a network) my iPad will forever be invisible to Find My.
Fine My is really optimized for phones or cellular iPad that, theoretically, can always be online. Wifi only devices don't have that same luxury.
