iCloud connection problem

iCloud connection problem

When I boot up I get this alert: This Mac cannot connect to iCloud because of a problem with ...(my mac.com address).... Open iCoud preferences to fix this problem. But I'm not finding a problem in my iCloud preferences. Now what?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Sigh. Thanks. Gave it a try but it didn't solve the problem,. The contents of the two folders were the same and the message popped back up again.
