why do my apps keep bouncing and taking forever to open?

Ever since I upgraded to El Capitan, my MacBook Pro from 2013 is extremely slow to respond. Not only on booting up and shutting down but the apps take forever to open and they can only work one at a time, otherwise everything locks up. I ran the the disk First Aid but it did not improve. I am having the most problems with Photo and iPhoto. Thanks for any help anyone maybe able to give.

Photo did not open because it crashed in safe mode. Even opening Safari in safe mode was slow. I don't think this is the remedy.

You need to get rid of CleanMyMac. It's insidious garbage, and it's damaging your computer. I have no idea why you put that crap on your hard drive.

I tried to search for it, but I get no results; and it is not under Libraries.
