Will I be able to use iWork '08 with El Capitain?

As far as I know, the answer is yes provided that you have applied the following updaters.

I have not tested it because I do not use OS X 10.11.

Addendum.

Be advised that hyphenation may not work properly with Pages v3 under OS X 10.11. Reportedly it is broken with Pages v4 under OS X 10.11 and so may be likely with v3.

Hi Tancamb,

I updated to '09 only reluctantly and found that it was a very nice improvement on '08.

Disclaimer: I have been even happier with Numbers 3.6. You can run both on your machine but be cautious about saving an '08 or '09 file in 3- difficult to go back.

I upgraded to Numbers '09 when it was needed to move files to Numbers 3. Spent enough time there to think, "oh, this is nice" and use it to answer specific questions. '09 (and I think '08) still give you superior printing control over 3. That said, I do my (limited) invoicing right from Numbers using text boxes and multiple tables on its own sheet and it works well for me.

In case you're going to use iWork '09, remember to apply the following updater for iWork '09 programmes installed from DVD.

In my opinion, iWork '09 DVD is worth to obtain. It is superior upgrade to iWork '08 with proper backward compatibilities.
