Trade in with battery replaced

If you have replaced the battery yourself or via a third party you will have voided the warranty and that, I imagine, would prevent any part exchange. Some really smart technical people can do a replacement without it being obvious (screws are hard to remove without showing signs of removal) in which case you might get away with it if you have used the same battery, too. But ?????

Did you put the battery in, or did Apple do it, or a third party?

I am not sure Apple does trade in, so you are talking about another party where you buy a new one, probably the provider. Tell them what happened.

Hi SO, indeed.

I know that there is an organisation in some countries that offer a good price for second hand iPhones when there is a new iPhone coming. But trading in I do not know who does or who doesn't, I suspect that Apple doesn't. Maybe a certified retailer, or a mobile provider does.

Apple does take trade-ins (with some strings attached) and they announced yesterday that they will take damaged iPhones in trade towards the purchase of a new one.
